10 hacks to increase the productivity for students instantly

Hi, fam!

Wish you all a happy day

Take a deep breath, be patient and read.

Ml is the unit for measuring liquid, km is a unit for measuring distance, kg is the unit to measure weight. You know, right. But what is the unit for measuring work? There is no official unit for measuring work. But I believe that productivity is the unit for measuring work.

The higher the productivity, the higher will be your efficiency. Many of us have good productivity but are not able to achieve a lot. Why?

We are usually distracted by social media. Will it be not right to say that technology is one of the reasons for poor productivity? What if you use technology for your benefit?

Sounds cool, right!

The three major problem student deal with are-

  •  Distraction/ Lack of focus
  • Time Management
  • Notes Writing

I will cater to all three problems one by one. Be ready for the solution.

A. Distraction-

Imagine you have an exam tomorrow. Naturally, you will sit to study. But for how long? 30 min, 1 hrs. Then, you'll feel tired and bored. If this happens to you too, you are not unique.

Technology has surrounded us and is ruling us. Innovations in social media tech distract us? Shocked? But I can prove.

Sit in a meditating position for 10 minutes. Take a pen and copy. Write the time interval where you break your concentration and the reason. In my case, Social Media notification was the major reason.

Your curiosity for getting the reply on the story made for crush, phone call, etc can also be the reason. To increase your concentration, I will suggest the following-

       1. Close Notification

Without wasting even a minute close your all social media notification. The notification makes a gulf between your work and the completion of work.

I know you have read this point before but never does this. Please close your notification and silence your device. I can bet your work was completed on time after closing the notification.

I know that you will not be able to focus on the work even after the closing notification. Note these apps-

      2. Focus

This is one of my favourite apps. This app has increased my focus and reduced screen time. Download the 'Focus' app from the play store.

It works on the Virtual Celebration- success approach. Like after winning a Pubg game you will get Chicken dinner. Similarly, the focus will grow the virtual tree until you didn't touch the screen. Sounds interesting, right.

You should also try this app.

      3. Cold Turkey Blocker

If you spend most of your time on the desktop. I recommend you use a web blocker plugin. You can enter the name of sites, it will block those websites for the pre-selected time.

For android users, Cold Turkey Blocker is the best app that will do the same work. You can block any sites or apps during your work hours.

B. Note Making

If you have the habit of making notes on the screen. Then here is the list of the best apps for making notes.

According to me, the app must-

  • record the audio files.
  • Save photo.
  •  Attach file.

Some of my favourites are-

      1. Default Note

The default question in your mind will be, Is Default Note is not enough?

Now, it is dependent on your phone and need. The default notebook app has almost all the features are available on the Notes app. Few shortcomings-

  •  No way to keep the notes organised.
  • The dark mode in the default app is not good.

If you have IOS or Apple device, move to the next section. Apple Notebook has all the great features you need to make your note much more effective.

      2. Google Keep

Google never disappoints. It comes with the best product. It always fulfils the desire of the customers. Google keeps comes with everything you need to make your work simple and efficient. You can collab with other users too. You can access any device through your Google account. The dark mode works smooth and is beautiful.

C. Time Management

Now to manage your time you need to know yourself. Do you need software or you are a pen-paper kind of person?

If you are a pen-paper person, take out your pen and paper and make the schedule. A screen person can use-

       1. Google Calender

Install google calendar You can manage every hour of your day. It is the best free time manager available to you. Its easy interface will make your work more interesting.

      2. To do list

Most of the students forget to do the task. They tend to forget the deadlines. You must use a to-do list or can make one from HTML, CSS and javascript...LOL.

      3. Timely Automatic

Timely Automatic is a Time Tracking App. This is an automatic version of google calendar. You will get a better experience only if you are an IOS user.

      4. Apple Shortcut

Most apple users ignore Apple Shortcut. It is an important application on the home screen. It mostly defaults in most apple devices.

      5. Evernote

My personal favourite and personal recommendation. You must use EverNote to manage your time. Write notes, write voice messages, add details about the task. Plan your task.

Ready to complete your work and be productive.

Conclusion

No one is born an expert, you need to spend a lot of weeks and months to know yourself and learn about your work. This will be the best investment of your life.
